Due
to an incident on Saturday, November 7, 2015 (two days after Anonymous holiday
Guy
Fawkes Night) I, Scientology protester the Angry Gay Pope was arrested on
false charges of Sexual Battery. After spending five calendar days in
jail at two different downtown locations I was released. The Church, whose
charge of sexual battery was rejected by the District Attorney's office once
they figured out where I was on , re-entered a battery charge and included charges
of tresspassing and disturbing a religious gathering (CA penal codes 242, 302
and 602(K)). In return I, the Angry Gay Pope and my lawyer Graham Berry informed the city was planning to it for $300,000 in damages due to eight years of harassment and violations of AGP's constitutional rights and his unjust imprisonment (twice). The stress of confinement caused my blood pressure to soar to 190 over 120, a massive increase which court doctors informed me was endangering my life. I was transferrred from the LAPD medical unit to the almost ten times larger LA County Jail medical unit for protective treatment. Eventually my lawyer made the overworked D.A.'s pay attention and they said they were releasing me. Also the nurse pulled me out of my cell with the crazy transgender girl to tell me I had polycythemia, thick blood and enlarged blood platelets.
On the following Wednesday I was released. Legal maneuverings continued until April 2016. The pertinent documents are shown below. Click on the photos at the top of the page to go to each section of the pointless process.
We later began arguing about the extent of the TRO until my lawyer laboriously got a transcript of the 2016 proceedings. Why does it take endless phone calls and $40 to get a legal transcript that should be available online for a few dollars? Just another way the criminal justice system penalizes anyone charged with anything whether they are guilty or innocent.

Angry Gay Pope's prisoner's receipt. It's the pink piece of paper given to the incarcerated so that they know the details of their arrest, the charge, and the objects the police have taken from them so that they can retrieve them upon release. Problem is the arresting officer is a gibberish name with no serial number. Deputes at the jail informed me that this is never seen on these forms. Latery my lawyer figured out that the form meant "Private person's arrest Ken Long." |
