A rare location where Black Scientologists can be found (but not on Martin Luther
King Day)
We
visited the Church of Scientology's Inglewood Ideal Org and Inglewood Community
Center on Martin Luther King Day 2017. Pictures of our visit below prove
that almost nobody was there, that much of the equipment for proselytizing was
broken, that their computers run ancient Windows XP, and that they have security
cars. What kind of religion needs security vehicles? Plus one had a flat
tire. Hmm.
At
the Ideal Org security constantly monitored us to make sure we took no pictures.
Ooops sorry. I took plenty of pics as you will see below. But there
are even more images of the Inglewood Community Center where we wandered at
will unattended. We saw no evidence that the building had been used in
the five years since it opened. And, with everyone at the Martin Luther King
Day parade, their security was nil.
At first I was overwhelmed
by the production design and attention to detail. Just check all the custom
artwork and signage images below. It has the same level of theming as
Disneyland or Universal Studio's "Jurassic Park." It was like I was wandering
in a "lost world." Eventually, though, the whole place took on the feel
of the haunted, empty hotel in THE SHINING by
Stanley
Kubrick. Don't get me started on how Scientology ruined Kubrick's
final year by absorbing his daughter MAGA and Qanon nut
Vivian Kubrick after the production of the movie "Eyes Wide Shut."
