The attached
article
came out today in the Inland Empire Weekly, a free newspaper in Riverside County,
with a distribution of 30,000. The article is well placed, well written and
quite fair.
This is just a pre-article! It's just a warm up to solicit
a response for a much bigger front cover article for mid April. This paper is
available everywhere in Riverside county and part of Southland publications.
You may see it in other counties.
The article is not online, just in
print. About 6 weeks ago, I spent a day with Nate Jackson, the reporter. He
first met me at the court house and got to meet Moxon, Catherine Fraser and
other Sci lawyers. Nate also interviewed AGP and Casper. Catherine would not
talk to Nate at all, and considering that she's the spokeshole, he found that
kind of strange.
Next we went to see Jeff Stone and the gang at the Board
of Supervisors. When we entered the room, there was a full on debate about a
$7 million contract that got underbid by only $100. Jeff Stone was yelling at
Bill Luna and Pam Walls soon after we entered. Nate could not have arrived at
a better time! We stayed until I did my speech and Nate got a very speedy lesson
in Riverside County politics!
We met with Brian Black of code enforcement,
who immediately snapped back at me for simply asking a question about the Golden
Era Productions illegal grading status. Brian is the only one out of about 18
I dealt with and I always got a weird feeling from. He may be quite close to
Stone, based of the way these two talk during the meetings.
Next we went
to Gold Base. I almost convinced Nate to do an interview with
Danny Dunagin, but after I gave him plenty
of admonishments, (and that he would only get a 5 second interview), Nate declined.
Instead, we inspected the new landscaping, the sprinkler location, the small
spikes still on the fences, the various security cams, etc.
They [protesters] are so unimportant, they
are nothing compared to what we're doing" says Catherine Fraser.
(like clearing the planet, I guess) Who Hoo! We all know
that their anti-critic activities right now must be about 90% of
their activities. |
ANONORANGE |
We have since corresponded many times. He spoke to Barb, Marc, Mark and Nancy
(at least) and e-mailed with
Cathrine Fraser.
He almost got to get a tour of Gold Base, but they declined at the last minute.
I think it was just a delaying tactic like they did with Nathan Baca (KESQ-TV).
So, Nate is pretty well informed, and I expect his next (full front cover)
article to be even better. The neat part of the article is: "They [protesters]
are so unimportant, they are nothing compared to what we're doing" says Catherine
Fraser. (like clearing the planet, I guess) Who Hoo! We all know that their
anti-critic activities right now must be about 90% of their activities.
BTW, in case you think I'm attention whore, I repeatedly asked him not to
print my name in the article, but he has to. Sources have to be cited. Same
for the Riverside Examiner.
